John Boffa
is the president and chief project coordinator of Boffa and Associates.
Mr. Boffa has years of experience as a journalist, government policy analyst and public information officer, and lobbyist. He worked as a reporter for weekly and daily newspapers in New Jersey, and was managing editor of Empire State Report, a publication that focuses on New York government and politics.
Mr. Boffa worked for five years for New York Governor Mario M. Cuomo as a transportation policy analyst and public information officer. Following his years on Governor Cuomo’s staff, he started his own lobbying and public relations practice, handling campaigns for a variety of trade associations, nonprofit organizations, and corporations.
Mr. Boffa holds an M.S. degree from The Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., and a B.A. from Kenyon College in Ohio. He is a graduate of The Pingry School, Martinsville, N.J. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, and the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In 1992, he moved his firm to Washington, DC. Since 1992, Boffa and Associates has undertaken successful nationwide grass roots lobbying and public relations campaigns for a wide variety of large corporations and trade associations.
